Railroadfan.com meet - Butler Indiana - Oct 4th

Unread post by ~Z~ »

That's right, we're getting the date locked in, location loaded, and the meet is on!

Where: Butler, Indiana
When: Main meeting time will be all day Saturday Oct 4th, but some like myself will be there from Friday night through Sunday evening.
Who: members of Railroadfan.com, friends, family, other railfans from other sites/non internet people

This is just a casual meet, no specific meeting times during the day, come and go, chasing trains wherever around town that you'd like to.
Questions, comments?
Main reason for picking that weekend is that weather is quite nice in later Sept/early Oct, and a good number of others are busy around mid-Michigan on Sept 27th, so Oct 4th is the way to go.
Butler was picked over Fostoria where we've had the previous 3 other meets at, due to the voting on this thread: http://www.railroadfan.com/phpbb/viewtopic.php?t=9453

Car pooling is definately encouraged, as we all know how gas prices have been. If you are planning on going, or would like to go but need a ride, use this thread to discuss meeting plans.

Here's a writeup Scott made about Butler a little while back with some general information on railfanning there:

BUTLER IS 4 WEEKS FROM THIS SATURDAY.
I WILL BE IN CONTACT WITH THE POLICE CHIEF SOON TO ARRANGE USE OF THE PARK SHELTER [PICNIC TABLES AND GRILL ] FOR SAT. OVERNITE .
-----PAY ATTENTION YUNGUNS.!!!!!!!!!!!!!!-----BUTLER HAS 24 HR. POLICE PATROLS AND THEY DO NOT TOLERATE SPEEDING , TRESPASSING, OR LOUD PARTYING AT NITE.
THERE ARE ALSO POLICE DEPTS. IN WATERLOO AND EDGERTON.
WE HAVE FOUND THE COPS RAILFAN TOLERANT TO RAILFAN FRIENDLY AS LONG AS THERE IS NO TROUBLE [OBEY SPEED LIMITS OR ADD TO THE CITY COFFERS.]
WATERLOO-BUTLER-EDGERTON IS A GR888888 PLACE TO RAILFAN. :D  :D  :D

PULL MY FINGER.!!!!!!!!! :x   :x   :x
