CSX Dispatcher info / New Sub names!

Got a call from sd70accsxt700, and boy oh boy, has he got some news to tell me. Of course some of this will be inaccurate, seeing that I was trying to take info over the phone, my hearing, and tv/ other people in the background...anyway, here we go!

cutover to new dispatcher is supposed to be at 09:30 sunday morning

grand rapids sub and terminal stays same Mile Posts, but under RN dispatcher.

lansing sub is renamed to plymouth sub under RN dispatcher.

plymouth sub runs MP 148.1 to MP 24.1 EAS hines park
and from NAS at MP 87.2 to FAS at MP 80.8 middle river

saginaw sub to stay the same mile posts, under RN dispatcher

detroit sub, same MP, under RN dispatcher

toledo terminal sub, same MP, under RL dispatcher

lincoln sub same MP except now RL dispatcher

garrett sub - now runs MP BI 236.9 to MP BI 62.6 - EAST Deshler - RM dispatcher

pemberville sub - between EAS MP 114.5 turnpike to MP 88.1 fostoria - RL

Layfette sub - RA dispatcher

willard 4.3 EAS 6.2....that's where i had to cut off, had other issues going on here. sd70accsxt700 will be back later to correct this if there are any errors and to add more information about Ohio changes.

"Pemberville Sub?" That's new! This would lead me to believe that the C&O south of Fostoria is going elsewhere (I've heard rumblings about a site in Huntington). Just think, a southbound leaving Walbridge for Cincinnati will now traverse portions of FIVE subdivisions (Toledo Terminal, Pemberville, Fostoria, Willard & Garrett) before hitting the Toledo Sub @ Deshler. I'm not sure if this means more bulletins for the crew to get at the beginning of their run or not, but it seems a little redundant to me.

I'm not sure how the Toledo Terminal fits in Chicago compared to other potential locations. but it'll be interesting to see how "well" communications occurs between the various offices when a train is handed off from one to the next.

Finally, I would suspect that the Toledo Sub (B&O side) will be moving out as well, probably to Louisville or Indy - does anyone have confirmation?

It would be interesting to hear how the changes go on Sunday, but I'll be heading back from New Jersey - so I'll miss all the fun of the first day!

Train Dispatcher Positions

The train dispatcher positions known as the AW, AX, BX, and SC, located in Jacksonville is changed as outlined above with the territory assignments and located at the Chicago dispatching center in Calumet City.

Radio Communications

All radio AAR frequencies remain the same as except as outlined below
Radio Dial in for the Pemberville Sub, will be Channel 35 for the dispatcher.
