Agree! Williamsville, IL northeast of Springfield looking southwest towards along the former GM&O, now the route of the Amtrak Lincoln Service between Chicago and St. Louis.

The fence along the silos and caliber of the track work gave it away as the UP (ex GM&O).

Williamsville, IL is correct, but I believe the sign in front of the depot said ex Chicago & Alton.

It was the Chicago and Alton until it was merged into the GM&O in the 40's. Then merged into the IC. IC sold it to the Chicago Missouri and Western in the 80's. Bankrupt in a year CMNW sold this portion to Southern Pacifc and it's now part of UP.

Cincinnati? Just thinking along some waterfront that has the highway bridge up so high to get over a larger river with good clearance.
Maybe east St Louis too.

Not Cincinnati, East St Louis, nor the Capitol Limited.

The train just departed __________on time. What time does the Empire Builder stop in Spokane if it is on time?

Catching both Amtraks or a CN Freight here counts as an emergency stop.

Indeed. correct its the CN Bonnet Carre Spillway Macomb Bridge over Lake Pontchartrain at the southwest shore. just east of Laplace, LA west of New Orlean. its also the current route of the Amtrak City of New Orlean trains 58/59 between New Orlean and Chicago on thr former IC RR now CN RR.
