M327-27 passing through Holland Michigan @ 08:15

CSX engine #3219 + 24 cars.

M327-27 was supposed to have 142 cars this morning & with the CSXT #871 as a dpu. There was an incident (nothing was heard as to what) with Y351-26 working most of the early morning hours with CSXT #8017 making yard moves inside a congested Grand Rapids Terminal that had prevented M327 from building his train completely. Rouge Tower @ 07:02 had mentioned to M327 he would have to pull forward to let Hazmat thru a crossing.

Amtrak P371-27 @ 08:35 westward reported no defects for the Defect Detector mp CG108.9 Lakeside, Mi with IDTX engine #4602 & 3 cars (AmCafe + 2 Ventures).

M327-27 @ 08:46 westward reported by the DD mp CG44.2 Pearl, Mi with 102 axles. CSX engine #3219 & 24 cars. He had gone into Emergency at the DD site & is stopped at mp CG45.6 @ 08:49 & air is not restoring & will inspect their train.

M327-27 @ 09:12 reported an open coupler found on the 8th car after hitting a rough spot on the track, no repairs were needed & proceeding westward.

The 106th Ave crossing at mp CG49.63 was upgraded on 04/16/2022 with crossing equipment, don't know if that had included gates. He had hit an SUV at the driver's door. M327 has requested a re-crew.

Driver of the SUV was killed. 327 will likely not be going anywhere anytime soon. Thoughts are with the train crew and first responders.

M326-27 @ 11:59 eastward reported by the DD mp CG91.9 St Joseph, Mi with 368 axles. CSX engine #835 + mid dpu CSX engine #5254 & 89 cars. Many thanks to our Bangor viewer Bryan Schlipp Jr for reporting the dpu Not sure how far eastward he'll go due to the M327 crossing incident.

M326-27 @ 12:59 eastward will be taking Kirk Siding mp CG72.3 to wait until M327 is cleared to depart from the crossing crash incident at mp CG49.13 M326 has CSX engine #835 + mid dpu CSX engine #5254 & 89 cars.

M326-27 @ 13:25 headed eastward out of Kirk Siding & told to find a spot on the main track between Kirk mp CG70.2 & Gross mp CG63.1 away from any crossings & to hold there. M327's new crew advised Dispatch they still haven't been cleared to depart.
