Where Is It?

Re: Where Is It?
Onward to modern times. The Google car hasn't driven down the road this was shot from. It may take a bit of MQT knowledge to find it, so a clue, northbound.

Re: Where Is It?
I had planned to follow them all the way to Baldwin but with the numerous slow orders, failing light and fierce mosquito's I threw in the towel after this. In the distance they have come around a slight left hand turn.railrod1949 wrote: ↑Wed Sep 02, 2020 8:16 amMarquette Rail freight train heading north toward Carr Road, Baldwin.
Re: Where Is It?
The Google car hasn't been across this crossing making it somewhat difficult to find. It did drive close to this spot. I thought the short sharp grade made this an interesting spot. North of Newaygo but not as far as Baldwin...or even Bitley.railrod1949 wrote: ↑Wed Sep 02, 2020 8:16 amMarquette Rail freight train heading north toward Carr Road, Baldwin.

Re: Where Is It?
He said it's between Newaygo and Bitely, so 15 mile road would be too far north.railrod1949 wrote: ↑Thu Sep 03, 2020 9:12 amThat's 15 Mile Road I think between Bitely and Baldwin in Lake County.
Let's try 5 Mile Rd north of White Cloud.

Re: Where Is It?
Found it on the Notre Dam campus map, that spur to the Notre Dame U power plant in South Bend, IN was east off the old MC RR branch line between Niles, MI and South Bend, IN crossing old US-31/old US-33 (now Indiana 933) marked with just crossbucks sign just south of Brother Andre Drive. It is south of Moreau Dr. just west of St. Joseph Drive on the Notre Dame campus. Later, that spur was north of the old New York Central RR Water level route (now NS Chicago line).
