When I hear the evening Pontiac job on the scanner, it's been referenced as L513. I don't know how often they go as far as East Yard, but I've heard them going to work customers on the south end of the Holly Sub, such as Sterling and Metro. My understanding is that it's also 513's job to switch the Holly Sub customers up in Waterford. I don't know if 513 ever takes the same engine that 515 used, or if it typically takes another Pontiac engine.

Train 515 is passing MP 22.5 on its return to Pontiac. CN SD40-2 5299, picked up at East Yard per the above posts in zebra stripes and almost as faded at 5340 on 514, is leading the SD60 today (which seemed to not be running). Nice to see SD40's on the Holly routinely lately.

Thanks BlueHeron13 (one of my favorite birds). I had heard that 513 as a separate job was abolished and went away about a year ago and when it drifts south on the Holly at night (which it has almost every night this month) it is an extra 515. Makes no difference. It often uses the same power as 515 when it goes by my house but not always. The last few nights it had 5852. Let's see if it runs tonight and what power it has.

M383 blasted through Mt. Clemens at 17:59. CN 2222 & 2141 with 94 cars. I believe this to be the first manifest all day today.

A482 drifted through in the wee hours this morning. Sounds like it could be slim pickings with regard to manifests for a while, as CN essentially pulled the plug on Eastern operations this afternoon due to the blockades. Only train not affected on the MTC will be 533 if this continues to play out.

CN is running on CSX via Syracuse and Buffalo to get around the blockages.

No 514 that I saw this evening from Flint. I presume the CN shutdown/blockade has stopped the containers from Eastern Canada from making it to Flint.

I saw on the news what looked like a CN train that hit a car in Rose Township by Holly, MI on the Holly around 6 pm. I wonder if that was 251 that went by here (MP 22.5) late in the afternoon? It shoved the car into a lake. They rescued the occupants.

I'm wondering if the news made a mistake on what railroad it is, since LSRC goes through Rose Center. Did you hear what road it was? I can't find anything online at the moment.

Busy morning on the Holly already. At some point early this morning what I presume was a loaded SB sand train going through the way the house shook. Then at 5:45 what I presume was a late running 401 went NB. It delayed Amtrak 351's departure out of Pontiac by a few minutes as that went SB about five minutes late with what sounded like a P42 leading (remember, I am trying to sleep in a bit while all this is going on). Then around 6:45 am was a very short (maybe light power from the sound of it) SB which I presume was 402 after it swapped crews with 401 in Pontiac. Then a minute or two later was a very short 280-type rack train with what looked like a single UP as power (but maybe it was a BNSF as reported above, I was up now but it was still dark out). I wonder if the short trains are because of the CN blockade though they are coming from and going to Chicago when they are on the Holly.

As to what railroad that wreck in Rose Township was yesterday evening, there was a post on the Michigan News tab about it that had a reply that it was 251 but I noticed this morning the reply was removed for some reason. I just saw a lot of CN freight cars from the helicopter shot on the TV news and presumed it was CN because of that.
