The gondolas are probably for Padnos. The plates probably for Alro. The box car probably Michigan Box.

Lsrc working around grayling today, I can hear them on the radio. 2 blue and white units south if 4 mile. I suspect that's where they're working. Engines were down there with a string of stone cars. DOD equipment in the same place as yesterday but with an unobstructed view today. 1447

GRE returned WB across the Grand River in GR around 2:45 with ~15 hoppers from King. There was another block of 15 or so in the yard lined up for the next EB to Lowell.

In Quincy on the sungro siding I see there's a light purple and white engine parked. It's not something I've seen around here before. It looked like docx reporting marks #2000. Maybe a bad order or something 1805

DOTX (Department of Transportation) GP40-3 #2000. It's been on the Indiana Northeastern for at least 10 years now. INER has some kind of an agreement that they can use it while the DOT collects test data from it.

Thanks for the info. I saw the correct reporting mark this afternoon when I walked up to it for a couple pics since I have access to the sungro facility. I see INE there several times a month, I'm surprised I haven't seen the unit before. Do you have any idea of its heritage? You dont see many purple engines around.

It's originally a Rio Grande GP40. Supposedly it's going to be repainted into INER black and yellow soon, albeit without INER lettering.
