CSX Train Location Updates: April 2017

Unread post by Jochs »

K831 by Hilltop westbound in St. Joseph at 12:10pm. CSXT 3335 leading solo. It's weird that the traffic light stayed green while the gates were down. Lights stayed green at Hilltop and Cleveland. There was no traffic around.
This is not an April Fool's joke.

There is a northbound CSX working TDSI in New Boston. There is a southbound Q231 about 30 minutes north of New Boston coming south light power to also work TDSI.

WB mixed freight just cleared Plymouth diamond. 2 CSX units pulling 32 cars. No scanner with me and I was initially too far away to see the engine numbers.

Clear pair at Wells at 12:17 ET.

12:45 ET - N800 is holding the main at Grand Junction, E80- is holding the siding. Sounds like E80-'s power will shove N800 up Saugatuck hill.

N800 made good time from Stevensville! They (N800 and BNSF 5767) are already hooking up for a push up the hill out of Fennville, as of 12:50pm. Heard chatter of bringing them an EOT; for the pusher I suppose. Thought I could get over from GR, but they are quicker than I thought they would be.

Update question: If E80 is the pusher, does E80 have 5767 for power? Or is 5767 a different E800?

They could be using that power that came down on the MT's. Depending on space they will leave the MT's in the siding at Wells or Grand Junction and when the NXXX get to the EE Wells the D job will then tie onto the loads and shove them up the hill.
