Re: Where Is It?
Not near any rivers or lakes, nor would be "down" on a map, relative to Downtown Detroit.
Re: Where Is It?
Is it in the 313 area code?

Re: Where Is It?
Pleasant Ridge ( Woodward Heights?? Ferndale???), just south of the bridge over I-696 looking east. Track closest to the camera is CN Holly Sub Main #1, next to it is Main #2 and the next two tracks are the run-around tracks that CN uses when they switch out the GFL Recycling plant just north of the photo
Re: Where Is It?
That is correct.

This one has a bit of a twist. While I know generally where it was taken, I don't remember exactly, so I'm hoping somebody else does.

On the industry track that looped around the Mistersky Power Plant which is pictured.Dan Cluley wrote: ↑Sun Mar 27, 2022 2:15 amThis one has a bit of a twist. While I know generally where it was taken, I don't remember exactly, so I'm hoping somebody else does.
edit: most won't know that this was operated by the Detroit Public Lighting Commission.
Wikipedia says it's a gas operated plant.
My memory says as part of the bankruptcy, the DPL power grid was transferred to the DTE power grid.

Re: Where Is It?
That looks right. Thank you. I was remembering it farther downriver, but couldn't figure out why NS was there.

Re: Where Is It?
Do you perhaps mean the town of Middleton on the Middleton Branch? whatever the case, no, not the middleton branch west of Ashley.

I was thinking of Pompeii and I think that’s it even though you say it’s not on the Middleton Branch
