Well Traincation 2006 comes to end with a bang as I head to Fostoria for the day.
I will do the report and add pictures and videos as I get time so come back for updates.

The Bone Head move of the day I head north of town for another pic of this train as I heard no other traffic on the scanner and it was great light out.

Where I was at when Q390 blows through
Image
7:38 hear a train heading through town no way am I gonna get back to get this one.
"F-Tower Q390 what is your lead unit?"
"Q390 to F-Tower its the UP 2001"
F-Tower "she sure is pretty"
Q390 "yep painted her special just for you"
Well the race is on to see if I can catch this unit I can hear her calling signals off and on but not sure where she is at. As I get to Willard I can hear her entering the yard and doing some switching.
I hear the tower operator say they are getting calls from people wanting to get pictures I drive around the yard several time with no luck. finally I head down one road and get lucky its the administration offices but its not posted for trespassing so I take a chance and pull in the parking lot for a few pics of this unit.

This engin apparently went into emergency as it entered the yard, the conducter made some comment about the photographers probably messing with the EOT. As I was leaving town the real reason was he had a hose dragging and it came apart as he entered the yard. (Silley him, He should think before speaking and showing what a real idiot he is).
20:54 Q117 CSX 675.
I leave for home after this one again what a great day in F-Town ang meeting up with some old friend like Sam,Donna,Ellis, Luke, and meeting some new one that I cant remember. Come back as I will be updating this for the next week or so.

nice grab on the 2001 Scott
\
BTW that footbridge in the background is an exelent hang out I have spent many an afternoon sitting on it, just don't cross all the way and your fine, and move when someone wants to actually use it.

really enjoyed the selection of vids and pics scott... still surprises me at the speed at that NS train around the boneyard. It's also odd seeing green grass around the depot parking lot. nice work
