do you have a picture with the view from the shelter towards the tracks? and funny that jackson seems to be the closest of the cities mentioned :) i just wish there was a good shelter in south bend to go to eheheh...
I'm all for going to a place with more trains, but doubtful big groups would go. Maybe we can call this meeting in Fostoria next week the first Railroadfan.com meeting :)

I would vote for Cumberland, MD/ Altoona, Pa area, but to far to drive for most, as it is a 5 hour drive from here (Toledo), but I can still dream. BTW is it just the NS in Edgerton.

Lived 8 years in Defiance OH and made many daily trips to Bryan OH to watch trains. Edgerton is west of there and less of a hassle with the local police. Bryan has the Amtrack station but due to some events there the public watching time is limited to train time ONLY unless your like Jeff and have permission to be there before/after hours. John (Amtrack worker) is a good guy -he just has to protect the place though. When Conrail had the line it was nothing to catch 80+ a day most at 60MPH. Lots of action there......
