Holly's GTW Signals

Unread post by David Collins »

Hi All,

Any word on the original GTW interlocking signals at holly? someone said CN was about to replace them, I want to see a few trains pass them but I don't know what the deal is...

They're actually not the original GTW signals. The southbound signal was replaced with a Safetran in the mid-2000s, the northbound siding dwarf was replaced several years ago, and the northbound main was replaced with a US&S R-2 in the mid-1990s.

The R-2 is the signal you've probably seen pictures of. Although it is not an original GTW signal, it is a departure from all the Safetran signals on the rest of the subdivision.

Go up there any day around 3-6PM and you should catch both 514 and 251.
