New Business in Alpena?
I saw a photo on Facebook recently of LSRC 326 with an empty centerbeam. I've never seen one on either of the Alpena trains. Is there a new customer in Alpena or are they just storing centerbeams up there?
Re: New Business in Alpena?
They were storing center beams in the yard. They load box cars at the round house, it's possible that customer is also loading center beams.
I think they have a customer in Bay City that loads center beams.
I'd love them to get the drywall plant near Turtle/National City back.

I looked at the photo again. It's actually loaded with ties for the transload in Greenbush. I didn't notice the ties the first time I saw the picture.AARR wrote: ↑Thu Feb 11, 2021 4:11 pmThey were storing center beams in the yard. Very interesting. Do you know which railroad(s) the old ties are coming from?GTWwatcher wrote: ↑Sat Feb 13, 2021 12:40 pmThey're transloading old ties for Viking EnergyAARR wrote: ↑Thu Feb 11, 2021 6:44 pmDo you know what will be transloaded in Greenbush?GTWwatcher wrote: ↑Thu Feb 11, 2021 4:15 pmI looked at the photo again.
