Monroe Question

Unread post by GTWwatcher »

Is there more than one railroad that serves the Port of Monroe? I know NS has the coal contract for DTE, but I was curious if maybe CN served any of the other industries along with NS.

The asphalt storage tanks and steel mill don't receive rail service any more that I know of.

There is a small windmill plant next to the steel plant that has a spur and possibly ships using CN

The Port area of Monroe is still served by the NS & CN.

Michigan Paving and Materials (the asphalt place) still uses rail. I remember seeing a photo on the Port of Monroe's FB page showing the spurs full of cars recently.
