Alco at Strong Steel

The Alco used to move gondolas around at Strong Steel in Detroit has been derailed for a few months.

I almost wonder if there isn't some sort of contract dispute since the OP says its been that way for months. It's harder to get a locomotive from a property if its derailed than if its on the rails. Since it has been like this for awhile, it might be an ongoing dispute, or an industry that is shut down /slowed down due to COVID-19, and doesn't need the use of the equipment.

Anyone know the history on this one? I've heard mixed things about this one that its got a replacement body on a different frame and yadda yadda yadda...

Also trying to ID the repowered ALCO and Pfizer Pharmaceuticals in Kzoo.

According to the Winkworth site it is formerly Pickens Railroad S1 #7.

Mary Jane is from Mendon, a lot of employees from there worked at Upjohn.

From what I've been told and by several sources at Grand Elk it has a Cat Prime Mover in it now, unless your talking about the pictured Alco.

I have ridden on both Alcos, Pick 6 and Pick 7. Both were reengined by the Pickens shop when still used at the Pickens RR.
