CN 121

Unread post by twropr »

Where does CN symbol freight 121 originate and terminate? The websites I've pulled up show a Q121 intermodal from Halifax to Toronto; however, the one I heard on the Detroit radio feed was at Milwaukee Jct. (Detroit),
Thanks!

I'm guessing you heard NS 121 going through Milwaukee Junction. No CN 121s around here.

Thanks BH,
I thought Milwaukee Jct was CN (GTW). Does NS (Wabash) or Conrail cross there, or would an NS train be operating over CN trackage rights?
Thanks!

That would be NS 121 operating over Conrail

At Milwaukee Junction, the CN Holly, Shoreline, and Mount Clemens Subdivisions meet. The connections between the Holly and the Shoreline, and the Holly and the Mount Clemens cross the Conrail Sterling Secondary, which is what the NS 121 was running on. The DCON railroad has a connection with CN at Milwaukee Junction also.
