GE 25 Tonner available Wixom, Michigan

I posted this here because I know some of our members belong to various preservation organizations. I have also listed this on RYPN.

The Korex Corporation in Wixom, Michigan is looking to dispose of its old GE 25 Tonner switching locomotive. I have been told that it was converted to electric power a long time ago. The controls went bad about 2 years ago and they bought a newer Trackmobile 4000.The apparatus on the back of the locomotive was added for better braking. It is an air compressor and fittings. At the very least the locomotive would make for an excellent display piece.

There is currently no deadline in moving the locomotive, however it sounds like Korex would like to find it a new home as soon as possible. They seem to be very easy to work with. PM me if you would like contact information for Korex.

I have never seen this locomotive in person. I just happened to inquire about it, and they gave me a lot of information!
