This morning the Eastbound Amtrak running thru Galesburg around 11am had a Pullman car on the rear lettered NXTRAIN. First time I had seen it, anybody know the history of it.

It's a privately owned track geometry car that railroads lease to check the conditions of the track. Must be Amtrak is leasing it currently.

Uhh....too late Mr. Jackson....the car in question came into and left town yesterday on the 350-355 train set

Saw that Pullman on the head end of Amtrak Train 355 approaching the new Dearborn Station while I was in the parking of the Henry Ford Centwnnial library for the MRC meeting last night.

If you would have come to The Michigan Railroad Club meeting you would have seen the car also the area behind the Preforming Arts Center has been cleard of all brush and trees opening up the shot.
