The MOW crew is staging from Grandville for now. Numerous crossing are also being replaced between Grandville and Hudsonville. Not sure if Hudsonville siding gets a make-over. They were also working on the switches at MP 6 in Grandville again.

Today I see new ties along the main line starting at MP 6 westward past Wilson thru Grandville. Must be tie replacement and resurfacing coming. Hope someone knows when this will take place.
All of the machinery arrived last week and is in Wyoming Yard, so I would imagine any day now.

There are ties north of the passing siding and south of the main in Hudsenville. And both had ties with green marking for replacement

Talked to the guys in charge and they told me Hudsonville siding will be getting rehabbed. The crossings in Grandville have been completed and even the runaround track got tie replacement and resurfaced. Looks like they are done in Grandville and are working around Hudsonville Friday.

Looks like the tie gang itself isn’t working today. Crew at 12th Ave working on the crossing and a contractor is picking up the old ties in Jenison. But all of the other machines are tied up at Hudsonville with nobody around.

Went over the repaired crossing on Cottonwood in Jenison. Could've sworn my car said thank you!

Is Hudsonville Siding CWR or still jointed rail?

Hudsonville and Waverly are the only sidings on the GR Sub that are good for 30, FWIW.

Isn't New Buffalo also good for 30? Or just 20? It's also CWR.

New Buffalo is 10, the last 2000' or so on the east end is still jointed rail.

Heard the local section crew talking on the radio while doing some tamping in the Stevensville area today. They were skipping several areas “because we might as well do them when they do the crossings.” Sounded like several crossings will be replaced.

Maiden Lane was the only one they mentioned by name, which is a good thing. Earlier this week, Lincoln Charter Township put the CSX complaint link and the crossing ID numbers for Maiden Lane, Glenlord Road, and Marquette Woods Road on Facebook so the citizenry could complain directly.

Lol is there a CN one because we’ve got a couple of awful crossings on major roads in Lansing

MOfW crew was working in Zeeland this evening around 6:30 with various equipment on the Main. Zeeland Lumber has two centerbeams for pickup. Elm Street crossing closed for rebuild, hopefully they do both the main and the MJ lead, too.

New bufflo has some joint that they need to welded, and gross has had haft of the rail replaced with old main line rail. Both projects are on going. When they will be completed nobody knows.

The empty train of flats for the MOW that was working in the Holland area is not at Wyoming Yard. Looking for a progress report from someone to see if they are still in the Holland area.
