A man is in the hospital after being hit by a train in Mishawaka.
Mishawaka has a "no train horn" ordinance, but trains are allowed to sound their horns in the case of imminent danger. I remember seeing the Capitol Ltd. going through Mishawaka a few years ago, and thinking nothing of hearing them blow their horn until I heard them contact the Chicago East dispatcher over the scanner and mention that they had to sound their horn due to a pedestrian by the side of the tracks.
