Re: The TLE&W
NS will keep servicing Johns Manville in Waterville. That makes sense. Is the track Midwest rail/TLE&W proposes to lease from NS currently used for any purpose? The actual connection has been severed, correct? I looked at Midwest Rail's website, and although pretty spartan it does note that they have available for car storage 10 miles of their Toledo, Lake Erie and Western RR.
Re: The TLE&W
IIRC, the line is severed. However nothing beyond putting a section of rail back.

Re: The TLE&W
We all know the TLE&W isn't running excursions yet! Their website now states "The Blue Bird is not running at this time. We are working hard to try and run the 'Blue Bird Passenger Train' starting in 2014." They recently painted S4 #5109 into fresh C&O paint!!!! Here's a photo (by Ryan Ramsey) of a "Work Train" with the nice paint: http://www.rrpicturearchives.net/showPi ... id=3663283
That engine looks so much better! Would anyone know how often the "Work Trains" are operating? I'd like to photograph it running with some good Fall Colors! Now, what happened to the engine in 2010?
Here's a photo back then (by Steven McKay): http://www.rrpicturearchives.net/showPi ... id=2023982

Re: The TLE&W
FWIW There are coal hoppers shoved up to the NS in Waterville sitting on NS and the Toodles but they are cut where the tracks change ownership.
I'm just here to put in time claims and complain

DT&I: Where exactly does the line of coal hoppers end? I assume you mean they're cut at the Village Pwky crossing? I don't think the TLE&W is accepting storage cars at the moment. What does Toodles mean?
Re: The TLE&W
The Toodles is only the greatest soap opera to happen to railroading in a long time, and they're cut where the track changes ownership from NS to the TLEW, they're pushed all the way to crossing by JM plant 1.bluestreak81 wrote:DT&I: Where exactly does the line of coal hoppers end? Re: The TLE&W
I was just confused because I never knew exactly where the official track ownership changes at. I always thought NS officially owned the tracks down to Michigan Avenue in the city of Waterville and lease away the track from Michigan Ave up to Dutch Rd where the JM Plant is.
