Old photos on the Peavine ....

from Cincinnati to Portsmouth.
Most of the photos are in Portsmouth. Give me a break, I was young and it was the 80's. Pictures are bad but what the heck, I figured a few of you would be interested. The train is the 611. The ride started in the Ludlow yard in Kentucky & stopped us by the Bob Evans in Portsmouth so the 611 can turn around, then took us back to Ludlow. It made a stop on the way to Portsmouth for a photo shoot of the 611.
I rode this excursion 2 different times & the ride was great both times.
I had other pictures but they were to faded or yellow to even bother.

Awesome! I was under the Little Miami Clare bridge fishing the day that 611 went by. I was shocked to see it as I had no idea what was going on. The Peavine never had a passenger train go over the bridge during the mid morning and it was long as I remember right. Good pictures thanks for posting!

Nice pictures! I rode behind 611 to Muncie, Indiana back in the 80`s myself. Truly a great time. Glad to see her back on the rails again. Can`t wait to UP 4014!
