L301-15 @ 17:35 eastward reported by the Defect Detector mp CG91.9 St Joseph, Mi with 42 axles. CSX engines #2428 + #2047 & 8 cars. He’ll pick up the rest of his train he had tied down in Riverside mp CG80.1 & continue eastward to Grand Rapids.

​​L301-15 @ 18:47:32 eastward Bangor, Mi Division St crossing mp CG60.93 live cam with CSX engines #2428 + #2047 & 12 cars. ​​He had picked up 8 empty tie cars from Livingston siding's old Sand Plant spur track re-hab project mp CG97.7 & had cancelled his Sawyer mp CG105.2 work.

L301-15 @ 19:12 eastward reported by the Defect Detector mp CG44.2 Pearl, Mi with 58 axles. CSX engines #2428 + #2047 & 12 cars.

L302-15 by Howell at 19:15, with between 70-80 cars, most for GLC, including a few more towards the rear, plus seven more loads of new ties. Could not read my writing again but looked as if it was 926 on the head end. 2nd unit was 5480 for sure running elephant style. 5480 was a super clean recent repaint, but one I knew had been painted YN3c.

L302-15 by Howell at 19:15, with between 70-80 cars, most for GLC, including a few more towards the rear, plus seven more loads of new ties. Could not read my writing again but looked as if it was 926 on the head end. 2nd unit was 5480 for sure running elephant style. 5480 was a super clean recent repaint, but one I knew had been painted YN3c.

CSX 926 would be correct since this pair was elephant style on Deshler cam, 5480 in a fresh paint with dpu logo on nose

This was C801-14 that had tied down in Grand Jct Siding mp CG54 yesterday. He's headed to the east end of Wells siding mp CG41.4 to add CSX engines #7381 + #858 behind his leader & then continue on to the power plant in West Olive, Mi.

L305-15 developed engine problems going east. It took the train a few hours just to go from Howell to Brighton and back. When going west, a lot of the engine room doors were open on 4017, but still had 8054 working properly.

CSX M326-16 @ 10:14 EDT merging onto the NS Chicago Line at CP 497 from the East Curtis Tracks off Barr Sub. Looks like there are 2 trains ahead of M326 per ATCS.

L305-15 developed engine problems going east. It took the train a few hours just to go from Howell to Brighton and back. When going west, a lot of the engine room doors were open on 4017, but still had 8054 working properly.

They did lose the 4017 between Webberville and Howell, but most of the time east of Ann Pere was spent waiting for L303 to pass by so they could head back west.

L303-16 @ 12:23 Grand Rapids mark up & EC1 with the RN Dispatcher: CSX engines #5408 + #7244 & 55 cars (23 loads + 32 empties) @ 4,006 tons & 3,056 feet long. He’s ready to depart & has work in Lansing - final destination is Detroit. These engines are from yesterday's M326-15.
