CSX Train Location Updates - April 2024

B235-16 cleared the west end of Howell at 04:32 this morning traveling at restricted speed to Fowlerville with red signals due to the heavy rain and strong wind at 14:50 yesterday. Signals had been going up and down ever since. CP 8016 leading up front, CP 7050 DPU trailing on the rear with 82 cars. Crew had the train spotted in the plant and cleared the main at 08:52.

Y121-15 @ 11:37 westward reported by the Defect Detector mp CG19.1 Zeeland, Mi with 36 axles. CSX engine #2686 & OLS Caboose & 7 cars. He’s headed to the Dock Track in Holland, Mi mp CG25.

L301-18 @ 11:44 eastward reported by the Defect Detector mp CG91.9 St Joseph, Mi with 28 axles. CSX engines #4057 + #2428 & 4 empty tie cars. He had tied down in Sawyer mp CG105.2 overnight. He'll be making a pick up at Hartford mp CG68.7

L303-18 @ 11:48 Grand Rapids mark up & EC1 with the RN Dispatcher: CSX engines #5453 + #5327 (Western Maryland sticker unit) & 87 cars (32 loads + 55 empties) @ 5,600 tons & 5,160 feet long. He’s ready to depart & has work in Lansing - final destination is Detroit. He’ll be meeting Y106 at Fox mp CH141.8

Is there a new web link for this camera? In the last several days, I have not been able to find very many of the ones I used to look at every day. Fostoria, LaGrange, Decatur, Cordele, Ashland to name a few others as well. Also, the CP potash train to Webberville this morning had quite a few fairly new MOCX cars on it in the 41xxxx,42xxxx series, many of them numbered consecutively.

Recent issues with YT got to Virtual Railfan a few days ago to where all his live streams were lost, and he and his team had to restart every single one of them including descriptions

L302-18 ‘s power came from M510-17 which had 4589 trailing but I had trouble with the leader’s numbers. I noted CSX 3329 for some reason. Trailing engine is 3239.
