Wow, that’s quite the train. I saw M565-27 with CSX 7042, 7039 with 169 cars yesterday on the Deshler Cam, destination was Barr Yard.

L302 I think said restricting at Plaster Creek. Rouge Tower said they will have him zig zag and clear for 6 I think. Call Y290 for permission to come in their zone? I think that's what was said. Using terminology I never heard of.

Don't know who Y290 is. I feel like I've never heard that train number.

Y290 is the second shift switcher at the east end. Normally does not leave the yard so you probably wouldn't hear them on the road channel. Any X90 series yard job is a remote control job. Remote control jobs operating in yard limits have zones consisting of certain tracks or leads. These zones exist so that the remote job can go about its work and not have to worry about switches being thrown by other train crews or running into another train, since there isn't always someone watching the head end. No other train can enter into an established zone without permission from the foreman on the yard job, in this case Y290. Wyoming Yard has zones on the Old Even Lead (W41 switch to the signal at Plaster), Even Lead (E08 switch to the signal at Plaster), E08 track (all of E08), W01 Lead (E36 all the way up to the W01 switch on the Old Even), 33 Lead (W03 switch to the W35 switch, the west end of the odd tracks), and the Back Lead (top of the yard).
