CSX Train Location Updates - February 2024

L303-27 @ 11:25 Grand Rapids job briefing at mp CGT2.2 & EC1 for Lake Odessa/Grand Ledge Holdout with the RN Dispatcher: CSX engines #3459 + #3111 + #8842 & 29 cars (16 loads + 13 empties). He’s ready to depart & has work in Lansing. The #8842 was brought in from Lansing on last night’s L302 to be spun.

Did not see anything mentioned of it here,but had westbound empty grain train by Howell at 20:12 yesterday that apparently went to Webberville with "only" 80 cars. 326 axles over the DD at Fowlerville. Train had single YN2 unit #81 on the head end. Train number was G077-26 but probably had a different train number south of Plymouth.

Micah posted this a few days ago about a grain train with CSX #81 solo. This same train passed the Princeton cam a few days ago as well.

L303-27 @ 11:53 eastward, Main to Siding, Fox mp CH143.3 with CSX engines #3459 + #3111 + #8842 & 29 cars. They're clearing him up for Y106.

M326-27 @ 11:57 contacted by the Dispatcher saying he is to add the CSX "pushers" #796 + #741 behind his leader at the east end of Grand Jct siding mp CG54. Concerns for him making it over the Saugatuck Hill.

He had added the #796 + #741 (the coal train "pushers") at Grand Jct mp CG54 due to concerns of being able to make it over the Saugatuck Hill.

R598-27 @ 16:30 westward reported from Ivanrest mp CG4.7 with an Approach Medium signal with CSX engines #741 + #796 lite power. He’ll be going north on the Fremont sub-division to pick up 3 loaded coal cars from Harlem Siding mp CGC28.8 & take them to the power plant in West Olive, Mi. Afterwards, he’ll bring an empty coal train from the plant to Grand Jct siding mp CG54.

8842 may have gotten spun but did not get set off In Lansing as it was still there when going by Howell. L302-27 by Howell at 18:30 with 79 cars. 461 + 440 on the head end again returning back west from Monday's L303-26

Amtrak’s Cardinal departed Crawfordsville, Indiana (CSX Monon Sub) around 10:45 with ALC-42 #334 on the point and behind that DOTX 221, the Pennsy painted FRA car. Besides those goodies up front, nothing special behind that. No storms here yet, but Naders are everywhere else!

He’ll take Grand Junction siding mp CG54 & tie down & cut away the CSX power & move them into the east end of Grand Jct. Note: not sure of the BNSF engine numbers` order.
