L301-29 @ 18:00 eastward reported by the Defect Detector mp CG19.1 Zeeland, Mi with 42 axles. CSX engines #8066 (solo?) & 9 cars. Axle count doesn't support 2 engines & I am wondering if he left CSX engine #8199 in Holland for Y121 to use this week since Y121's engine (CSX #6137) was having mechanical issues today.

Or, the DD19.1 had a +2 axle count error and he has CSX engines #8066 + #8199 & 7 cars.

Turns out it was an axle count error. At 18:24 L301 had called Rouge saying he has 7 cars for Grand Rapids.

R597-29 @ 18:27 copied their EC1 to depart the power plant in West Olive, Mi mp CGP 1.0 & diverge onto the Fremont sub-div & head south to the Grand Rapids sub-div in Holland, Mi with BNSF engine #5619 & 129 empty coal cars & rear dpu BNSF engine #9390 & CSX engines #3293 + #3201 at the rear. He’ll take Grand Jct siding mp CG54 & tie down.
For the y121 stuff I’ll run over there tomorrow and see what’s in the yard
living life on the rails!

Was L302-29 last night running with the CSX #7008 as solo power? I had found out this morning he had brought into Grand Rapids the CSX #4045 and the axle count for last night's DD104.3 & DD126.3 was 396 & doesn't work for 3 engines. Axle math does work for 2 or 4 engines.

M327-30 @ 06:50 westward reported by the Defect Detector mp CG19.1 Zeeland, Mi with 254 axles. CSX engines #3440 (Spirit of Ravenna) + #328 & #4045 & 59 cars (40 loads + 19 empties) @ 5,606 tons & 3,578 feet long.

Amtrak P371-30 at this time is still having issues & hasn't departed the Grand Rapids Terminal yet.

When I passed it on 131 south, number board lights were on and the cars had their side lights on (the ones that change from green to yellow to red no clue what they are called) but everything else was dark

Yes, L302-29 ran with single unit 7008 yesterday. I had every intention of saying that when I made my post, thus the comment that back on Jan. 9th it had another unit with it then. (435) So much for another slip of the mind or you would not have had to ask, Tom.

For future reference, Y121 cannot use a 6 axle engine because they are not allowed on the Dock Track, Hamilton Branch, Ottawa Beach Branch, and M&J Lead per timetable special instructions.

I also read your post and was thinking solo 7008 as well.

Mead Johnson… baby formula

I’ve seen it both ways depending on the timetable M&J or M.J. lead

M.J. would seem to be correct because it’s Mead Johnson not Mead and Johnson.
It’s kind of like how people call East Saugatuck Saugatuck when it’s really East Saugatuck.
The hill at East Saugatuck is named/called Saugatuck hill.

Note: The last time I remember Mead Johnson using rail service was I believe in 1981. Between then and 1985 the siding had been removed.
