Folks, CN "GTW Heritage" SD70M-2 #8952 is now leading a "Sand Train" from W&LE!!!! Is this the train that works to CSX "Dearborn (Rougemere) Yard?" It was spotted on "Heritage Units" (by NemoTrainz) at 11:35 a.m. January 11, Monroe, MI, heading north! Description about: "Leading empty unit sand that came from Wheeling & Lake Erie." Did the train reach its destination? Which train symbol is this? Where will it head next? Or is it too late to venture out and catch? Will this power go back on northbound train 507 today? WOW!!!!

LansingRailfan! Hey, I got a ride to Royal Oak Amtrak Station!!!!! Met Graham Halverson! He's a cool kid! After Q116 with regular CN ET44AC/SD70M-2s and didn't count the cars! Fairly long! We soon both got S756 with CN "GTW Heritage" 8952 H.U. leading CN SD70M-2 #8859!!!! It was 130 cars (per math and scanner 'Hot Box') and came at 4:06 p.m. My how shiny it was! I should have something good here! YESS!!!!!

Yes I got to the tracks in plenty of time LansingRailfan! The "Hoverboard" worked this time!!!! Cool! Now, 8952 should be on the way to Chicago! Then hopefully will return for the possible "Whaley Donation Express!"

I see now that "Coolidge" was not referring to NB at Coolidge Hwy & 14 Mile in Royal Oak, otherwise I would have ran over to Pontiac Amtrak to catch my favorite locomotive. I had assumed I had already missed it passing through Pontiac by the time I read that at around 14:45.

I take it that "Coolidge" is a reference to somewhere downriver, or at least somewhere down in Wayne County. Live and learn! Maybe I can catch it when it comes back to Holly Sub weeks/months from now.

Yes, "Coolidge" is a control point somewhere in SW Detroit on GTW. It confuses me too. Sorry you missed it. As you can see it went through the real "Coolidge" around 4 pm or so and you could have caught it.

Folks, how did two locomotives with CN "GTW Heritage" SD70M-2 #8952 slip by the Trenton Web Cam for this "Sand Train?" I have been reviewing footage from last night and beyond throughout the day! Never did I see this power head back east! Just on the original train with four locos on 508!!!! I saw that review going toward Flat Rock at Midnight! Is it possible they went west (south) from Flat Rock to Carleton and then Diann to Toledo? I didn't think CN did this route anymore! IORY only I have read!!!!
