AndrewsTrains Says:
BL2 says: Yes, I heard that, both the engineer and conductor on the GLC train are long time former CSX employees back in the days when CP ran regular on the Plymouth sub. They and the engineer on K831 all know each well from those days and thus the "joshing" (pun intended due to the first name of one the GLC people) back and fourth between them. When K831 was there, were you out there like the 90s If so you heard them talking to the conductor of GLC since he's a ex CSX engineer, holding up a pretty hot train he says describe hot, later on in the conversation he said herbs got some red rockets.

Re: CSX Train Location Updates - April 2021
I heard D706 in Grand Rapids @ 2:56pm asking Rouge what tracks were open because they want to spin the engines around so that the CSXT #5458 is the leader & CSXT #366 trails.
Correction: The CSXT #366 is leading with the #5458 trailing. Maybe they were elephant style & that's what they had spun them around?

Re: CSX Train Location Updates - April 2021
GLC & CSX did it again today, both arriving near Ann Pere at the same time. D70515 by Howell at 4:42pm with three more good units out of Detroit. That's 15 units in 15 days. A whole month of locomotives in just a a half month. 5497+5392+8400 today with 53 cars. Currently stopping in Fowlerville as D708 is ahead of them. 708 came to Howell earlier with 23 cars for GLC which hey put in the siding and went back west directly to Webberville to work the elevator. Now backing cars west to Williamston to run around them and head back to Lansing. Unknown if 705 will go west from Fowlerville before or after this move.

Re: CSX Train Location Updates - April 2021
What location is "EL"? I have an older 2005 Time Table showing N. Lansing at mp CH88.3, do they now call that East Lansing? Or, are you referring to Ensel at mp CH90.0? Did D705 have work for N. Lansing/Ensel? Thanks for any info you may provide.

Re: CSX Train Location Updates - April 2021
East Lansing - tend to be lazy to type it all out. Knowing the CH where I commented I could start adding that (84.43)
I don't listen to radio often so unsure, but usually 705 and 706 both have something going on at Ensel
Did have radio on for now and did hear CH104 go off which I have to assume is D706 but only hearing from 708. Can't make out what they're saying too well (using broadcastify)

Re: CSX Train Location Updates - April 2021
Thank you for the info for East Lansing, I penciled that in on my Time Table. At 6:57pm I had heard "end of transmission" & based on what I could hear D706 reporting by, that most likely was the DD104.3's message for D706. D706's radio isn't the greatest and the Broadcastify reception last night & this evening isn't as good as it usually is for the DD104.3 area.bluewonderrails wrote: ↑Thu Apr 15, 2021 6:58 pmEast Lansing - tend to be lazy to type it all out.
