RN is calling the D70510 with the CSX 8887 leading. So there’s your lead engine heading west today.

Something was by Michigan City a short while ago on the CSX. I presume it was eastbound since there haven’t been any Westbounds reported.

Just FYI the lady who lives across that private crossing yelled at my buddies and I for standing in that EXACT spot you were in and said “get off my property” she claimed that we were in her property and if we didn’t leave she was calling the cops. After we left we were very confused why she said that because it is clearly labeled as CSX property. Just thought I’d let you know.

Edit: I just got work from a buddy that there will be a coal train coming down the Plymouth because the Chicago line needs work. Does anyone know if this is accurate?

A little high on that car count. D705 had 89 cars by Howell at 6:15pm with 39 loads of stone and rip rap rock on the head end.

Oops, I heard the DD wrong, 89 is what I counted. Rookie mistake?

Maybe she didn’t see me or didn’t want to yell at the old guy 😬

Back on Jan 3rd, N801-03 had ran on the Grand Rapids sub-division with a mix of loaded coal cars - 10 or 12 different company designations on the cars & with different color end car markings for the rotary couplers. It went to the power plant in West Olive, Michigan (where the coal trains usually go to) & it was said they were loaded with the wrong kind of coal. This train should have gone to a power plant in Detroit & somehow got mis-routed onto the Grand Rapids sub-division. We never saw those coal cars return by Bangor & appears they have been parked at West Olive ever since. Also, since January, no loaded coal trains had been reported traveling on the Plymouth sub. Maybe, they're finally making plans to move them out of West Olive to Detroit? If so, that train would go into Grand Rapids & onto the Plymouth sub-division there.

Possibly, I was told that that a coal train from the Chicago Sub turned north at deshler instead of taking the GR sub north. I’m very unsure as to wether this info is true or not though.
