CSX Train Location Updates - January 2021

D706 east by Breton in GR with 3211 and SD40 on the head end, 738 mid train.

D706-22 @ 2:45pm eastward reported by the DD mp CH126.3 with 486 axles. The above power plus an additional engine (CSXT #8008 ?) & 117 total cars.

for people wondering where 126.3 is that's near lake Odessa had to look at my time tables

It (the actual detector hardware set) is actually physically located in the town of Clarksville. About 6 miles timetable west of Lake Odessa. But thats pretty close to Lake Odessa I suppose.

D801-22 @ 4:51pm westward Bangor's Center St crossing mp CG60.35 with CSX engines #989 + #579 lite. He's headed to the west end of Kirk siding mp CG72.3 to pick up N801-21 that had tied down there earlier today.

It appears D706 cleared Trowbridge at 17:15 or so. Will update.

D70822 pulled out of the siding westbound at Howell with 73 pick up cars t 5:30 PM. Picking up 18 more they left in the Ogihara run around. Meeting D706 at Fowlerville. For the second day in a row, 708 split their engines apart at Ann Pere so they could set off the 6 GLC cars in the transfer without having to go to Brighton to run around them. GLC southbound arrived at Ann Pere as 708 was leaving the Howell siding and has only 15 cars for GLC. This means both the mainline AND siding will be free of cars for the weekend. I'll leave it up to amessmann to report the amount of cars 706 has where the DPU is located and what time it reaches Brighton. Not worth my time to look out the windows to see 3211+738 again.

Hoping for a confirmation for where the 3rd engine is located in D706's consist. The DD's at CH126.3 & CH104.3 each reported 486 axles which works out to be 3 engines with 117 cars. I see posted it is the CSXT #8008.

D801-22 @ 6:30pm has his EC1 to depart from the east end of Kirk siding mp CG70.2 & heading eastward with BNSF engines #6040 + #9215 & 130 loaded coal cars & CSX pusher engines #579 + #989. This was train #N801-21 that had tied down there earlier today.

Got up and looked at D706 anyway only because he was going by super slow with GLC still holding the diamond. Had a second unit behind 3211 (8008) with 100 cars even. DPU was after the 49th car. 8008 was no biggie for me because it was still one of only eight CSX locomotives I have seen in 2021 with the year now 22 days old. Imagine you guys between GRP and Chicago, or around the Plymouth to Detroit area if you noted every locomotive you saw would have seen 80 by now compared to eight here, 706 now crossing Ann Pere diamond heading east at 6:44 PM
