The major signal issues last night between Brighton and Ann Pere diamond, which would also not allow green signals on all four sides of the diamond made it a nightmare for the RN Dispatcher. GLC Z62401 arrived at Ann Pere while D708 was getting his air test on its cars in the siding. In all, just to make the moves GLC needed to make to pick up only 33 cars and deposit only 51 in the Howell pass, they had to communicate with the RN dispatcher for permission by etc., 13 different times between 09:00 and 02:00 this morning. Webberville grain empty V71325 was talked by Ann Pere diamond at 01:00 and had all 87 cars in its train spotted at Webberville by 05:25. CSX 529+268 on the head end.

Between the time D708 first arrived at Ogihara to set off some cars, and the time V713 cleared off the main at Webberville, there was nearly 12 consecutive hours of non stop radio transmission talk which kept me awake most of the night.
Yup, I have a couple hours of the radio recorded from around 21:00 to 23:00 when I went home, at some point I'll upload it to YouTube - I wish I woulda stayed that extra 2 hours to see the grain empties. Hopefully you found the radio traffic as interesting as I did, would make staying up that late worth the trouble. Worthy of note is according to the time table, Brighton and Ann Pere are the ends of the same DTC block, must've been just that section having trouble. As a networking guy I'd guess it's not related to line-side hardware, but computer side from CSX in FL.

Micah was telling me he wanted to wait till Christmas to get his scanner but honestly, I say buy it asap. You'll hear all kinds of cool information. :P

They are going to hold him (D801-02) on the main at the west end of Saugatuck mp CG33 & have Q326 with his 79 cars go into Saugatuck siding. The DD at mp CG91.9 had reported Q326 being 4,639 feet long & Saugatuck is 5,000 feet long. N800-01 has Grand Junction mp CG53.9 occupied & N800-29 is believed to be still tied down inside Wells siding at mp CG41.4
Edit: they had decided to hold D801 at the e/e of Saugatuck mp CG32.

D70802 departed Fowlerville east at 15:35. Going to Brighton to run around its train and then coming back to Howell to do GLC work. They did not say so, but there is 13 cars in the Ogihara run around that they may stop and get on their way which would delay them in getting to Brighton.

Edit: D708 did stop at Ogihara, did not pick up the 13 cars in the run around but added more cars to it. Went east by Howell at 16:25 with 41 cars, all for GLC
