This is D802-26 & is on the move @ 2:32pm Holland mp CG25.3 with BNSF engines #8408 + #9725. Most likely will be going into Wells siding at mp CG41.4 for an "E" crew to take it to Chicago later on. They were advised by Dispatch not to cut the train since the "E" crew will be on duty soon.

Todays D708 report: D70827 cleared the west end of Howell at 13:05 with two cars that they will tack on to the 76 cars in the Howell pass. Then, instant replay of last week, they will go to Brighton to pick up the 71 GLC cars they left there last night, bring them back west and park them on the main line until whenever GLC comes to get them, pick up the 76 cars GLC left for them last Saturday, and go back to Lansing with 78 cars. This means GLC will be parking another 80 cars in the Howell siding soon, after they clear the cars off the main.

Regarding todays D70527, by the time they leave Lansing to go west, that DPU on the rear out of Detroit "may" be in the middle of the train when they leave.

WE as in west end? Makes sense though if it's 705. The tail end of it (#751) is just in sight from the view near the CN tracks/diamond Drove by it on Trowbridge a few minutes ago thinking it had a stop signal but nah. Too close to diamonds if it were

Out of communications for only 90 minutes and plans changed big time for D708 and have no details as to why. Last I knew after adding the two cars they had in their train on to the 76 cars in the siding, they were on their way to Brighton to bring back the 71 cars for GLC. Next thing I knew at 17:15, 708 is on its way back to Lansing BUT with only 54 of the 78 cars in the siding. Went down to investigate to find no Brighton cars sitting on the main, (they did not get them) and sure enough 28 cars remained in the siding close to Lucy Road. Only speculation is that had something to do with an upcoming Webberville grain load, or things going on with D705 ahead. Regardless, this puts the kibosh on GLC making any moves on CSX again tonight.

Bob,

There’s a CSX rule on the number of empties in the middle of a consist before a cut of fulls. That string of cars had fulls-30 empties- 28 fulls and CSX policy dictates that they can’t have more than five fulls after a string of empties to prevent stringlining.

D708 also worked Rhetech
