Take it from me, it is best to not ask questions about JAIL cars. Seriously....just don't or there will be a knocking at your door.LansingRailFan wrote: ↑Fri Oct 02, 2020 8:05 amDid you catch any reporting marks on the tank cars that D708 had to take to Plymouth? Just curious if these were in storage in Lansing on the JAIL.

Re: CSX Train Location Updates: October, 2020.
As already reported D706 was early today. Had 155 cars out of Lansing and was by Howell at 06:16. Today is Friday isn't it Micah? D706 runs on Friday, D705 runs on Saturday and will probably be there before 6am. Yesterdays D708 left all the Webberville cars in South Lyon as they had no time to get to Plymouth and back. Brighton has GLC cars left in it as 708 added more to it than they left on Wednesday. They did finally clear out the GLC cars out of the Howell pass that took two days to get those 78 cars and then Z62401 with the same three six axel units from previous days stuffed 75 more cars into the pass for D708 today, whenever, or how many trips it takes this time to clear it out.
Re: CSX Train Location Updates: October, 2020.
a train just passed south lyon. i wasnt at the tracks to see it. anyone know what it was?
Re: CSX Train Location Updates: October, 2020.
Better now than a few hours ago as I was away from the tracks all morning doing grocery shop and eating out ahead of my 76th birthday tomorrow. On top of that was out mowing the lawn when it went by and did not know it was coming until it was three car lengths away. Turned out to be V94430 empty grain train for either Webberville or Grand Ledge. CSX 979+992 and counted 86 cars which doesn't mean it was correct, only close. Will begetting an axel count in a few minutess.
Re: CSX Train Location Updates: October, 2020.
very interesting. It must have been a re-route of some sort. Do you know if it will head back toward plymouth today? Also Happy early birthday!BL2-1843 wrote: ↑Fri Oct 02, 2020 2:10 pmBetter now than a few hours ago as I was away from the tracks all morning doing grocery shop and eating out ahead of my 76th birthday tomorrow. Re: CSX Train Location Updates: October, 2020.
Got the car count right on the V94430 as it was 86 cars, but still have not heard which elevator its going to yet. D708 was in the siding for it at Fowlerville doing the multi hour Ashai-Kasei work. No reroute here on this grain train Micah. How many times has it been said we have regular grain trains on this line a couple of times a month. And, do you really think they can load a 86 car train and sent back out in only a matter of hours? At least 24 hours at best depending on when the grain elevators even start loading it. And no I don't know what time D708 is leaving Fowlerville yet and where its going today, and neither does anybody else.

Thanks for that update. I’m actually headed toward Livonia right now so I might be able to see it. I’m guessing it has already passed there by now
