Re: CSX Train Location Updates, September 2020
Word on the street says that D70524 was through Stark Rd near Plymouth just a short bit ago, so should be to South Lyon pretty soon.
D70824 is working Howell currently.. they sometimes go to South Lyon.

Re: CSX Train Location Updates, September 2020
D70524 had to sit and park at Rickett Road east of Brighton waiting for D708 to finish their Ann Pere work and then got delayed further with approach blocks at Howell. CSX 3070 on the head end with 146 cars. DPU 3108 was 73 cars back. 30 cars of rip rap rock and stone on the head end, some more beyond that but ahead of the DPU.

Obscure question, I wonder if the larger rocks are for the Grand River Restoration project in GR. The are supposed to start the S.O I-196 to W. Fulton Street section later this year or early next year.

Re: CSX Train Location Updates, September 2020
From the scanner archives 01:45am/02:15am, heard the cab company in Grand Ledge talking to D705 for directions on how to get to their train.BL2-1843 wrote: ↑Thu Sep 24, 2020 6:54 pmD70524 had to sit and park at Rickett Road east of Brighton waiting for D708 to finish their Ann Pere work and then got delayed further with approach blocks at Howell. I'm assuming the crew ran out of time last night, didn't hear him at all on the CSX West Michigan on-line scanner last night, & D901 took over D705's train.
D901 was heard with CSX #3070 reported by the DD at mp CH104.3 between 05:14am/05:34am westward (from the scanner arcives) having 464 axles & 6,360 feet long = 2 engines & 118 cars.
D901 @ 07:16am reported from Plaster Creek mp CGT2.0.
