Q326 and X326? Must mean that Chicago-Detroit traffic is coming back thru GR and not going thru Ohio

3388 ld - 55 cars ( iicc) - 783 dpu - 78 cars ( most empty stone cars from ensel )
327 was to pickup 32 cars at waverly, but the pickup was not switched out and no air

D708 (don’t know who else it could be...) Eastbound @ Williamston 0930. Couldn’t see the single locomotive through the trees, but he had a long string on empty container tables at the end. Would these be the cars out of Trowbridge siding possibly?

That would likely be D706, it’s first run was supposed to be today. Grand Rapids to Detroit one day, back west the next day as D705. The empty well cars are likely the ones that have been in the yard in Grand Rapids the last couple of weeks.

D706-07 info today from the scanner archives (note - radio calls are stored in 1/2 hour blocks with a start & finish time & how many minutes of recorded time for that 1/2 block - it doesn't time stamp each call):
@ 01:08am/01:38am D706 prepping their train in Grand Rapids with CSX engine #38 assuming he also has CSX #3271 since they were both on yesterday's X326-06.
@ 05:07am/05:37am eastward reported by the DD mp CH126.3 with 576 axles & 10,012 feet long (2 engines & 141 cars).
@ 05:36am/06:06am reported by the DD mp CH104.3 with 576 axles & 9,985 feet long (typically it's 38 to 45 minutes travel time from DD126.3 to DD104.3)
[Seeing a post stating he had empty well cars, that would slightly increase the overall car count vs. the DD axle math]
Last clear radio message heard was him reporting from mp CH95.

D70607, Around 20-30 cars ahead of the empty well cars. CSX 38+3271 on the head end. Taxi to meet the crew at Brighton but now has been directed to MP. 25 where the train will be tied down. Recrew already called in GRP for it to take it into Detroit and bring back D705 tomorrow or whenever it runs.

D706-07 is tied down west of Plymouth diamond for a recrew. Per dispatch all the well cars are destined for CP’s Oak Yard as a set off before terminating the train at Rougemere.

Does this mean that D707/708 are abolished?

No. D707 and D708 will continue to serve customers between Lake Odessa and South Lyon. D707 will no longer run to Grand Rapids.

Nope. D707 still runs Lansing-Lake Odessa and D708 still works Lansing - South Lyon.

D705/6 are a cheap version of Q328/9
