It seems like as of late MQT works the south end in the daylight - they start somewhere in the Turner/Comstock/Sparta neighborhood and head south to work the interchange at Wyoming, then they head north - how far? Just cruising and switching along the way and get as far as they get? Then a night crew takes it to Baldwin, swaps cars and heads back south. Yes? Do they do any of this on a Sunday, or just strictly M-F? Thanks!

Lately they tend to sit just north of Fuller Jct around 3-4 am, come south around 9 am to work Wyoming and then back north about 30-60 minutes later depending on how much work there is to do. They take their sweet time coming up, the line is plagued with slow orders most of the way north. The train does not work Sunday but will come down on a Saturday.

Most of the times MQT will come down and tie down at 3.6 on Sunday night around 11 pm or so. I know they do this because I always listen to the scanner when I hear a horn at my house about a mile from the MQT tracks. Whenever the 3406 is in the lead, it always seems the crew is complaining about it

An Amtrak ballast hopper showed up on JAIL in Mason today. It is sitting by the shops. I'm assuming they brought it up from Jackson overnight.

Those cars may be the ones I saw south of the river in Lowell today. Roads around there are starting to flood. Probably at least 30 hoppers around King, mostly UP's.

The hoppers south of the river in Lowell were moved. Still 20 or so cars in town.
