I photographed a northbound (crew change from CSX to LSRC) which started crossing 12 Mile Road in Novi at 8:53 a.m. today (4-16)! It had two CSX AC4400CW engines,
#51 (YN2) and #542 (YN3 'Boxcar Logo') with a whole train of "Windmill Turbine Blades" heading north!!!! It had 75 cars. Now, I have not seen any posts of this train! It surprised me as I was going to get the regular
LSRC train!!!! How often do these trains go on Lake State Railway®? It doesn't happen very often!!!! WOW!!!!!

Not surprising. There was a fair amount of Holland traffic on the head end, but there also appeared to be a lot of it mixed throughout the train. No matter, it’ll get switched out at Wyoming and put on tomorrow’s 327 to get dropped off.

Man it looks like you’re the only one that caught it.

I heard once that the Thumb is the third most consistently windy region in the USA.

D700-16 is currently going eastbound through Benton Harbor. Sounds like CSXT 6158 leading.

I was hoping they’d have the three unit consist from yesterday’s 326, but it appears they left #93 behind at Wyoming.

CSX has started to store engines in Wyoming. #93 and two from Wednesday's train are up there. More to come.

OK, I know I am not the only one to have caught this "Rare" train; I was just very happy to have gotten such a "Catch" unknowingly! It sounds like between 2 and 5 trains a year!
Here's a Facebook® video (© Brian Boyse) of the train near Birch Bun heading north─you can watch the video without being a Facebook® member: https://www.facebook.com/bjboyse/videos ... ater&ifg=1
