Mary Jane is a new one, in any case. Most crews call the signals by their number these days but some still use the names.

I'm a mega-dork so I created a trip log document for when riding P370/371 - and yes I would listen to the scanner and fill it out. It includes all of the signals, defect detectors, etc from GR all the way to Chicago Union Station. This is based both on the CSX Beavers Maps and revisions to those that I researched and completed with much help from certain sources around here. If anybody wants the file send me a PM...I know there are some other mega-dorks out there, too!

There is/was a large marijuana plantation between 46 and 49, they might just be referring to that.

D70826 east by Howell at 15:43 with five units power light. CSX 4046+4035 and CN 5739+5696+8912. The 3 CN units have been sitting in Lansing for well over a week. They may be getting another CN unit to bring back with them. Picking up 53 cars in the Howell pass on the way back that GLC left for them on Monday.

P370-26 is currently going through Benton Harbor. Sounds like IDTX 4601 once again has the honor of leading the train.

N800-26 is currently going through Benton Harbor. Sounds like BNSF 5671 leading.
Sounds like they're meeting an E800 at Wells, which will use their engines to shove N800 over the hill.

Q32927 by Williamston at 09:18 with CSX 5247+916 and 79 cars. Has 18 cars to pick up at Lansing including CN 8871 that D708 DID pick up at Peaker when dropping off the three other CN units reported yesterday. D708 did nothing on Wednesday beside being the Peaker Shuttle. at least east of Lansing. Went east with no cars and the same going back west as they did NOT pick up the 53 cars that GLC set off on Monday. Meanwhile, Q32827 went east at 05:15 with CSX 5292+5281 and 64 cars.

Finally, a big transfer day between GLC & CSX At Pere. D708 brought 70 cars for GLC to Ann Pere, and picked up 74 cars from GLC to take back to Lansing, where they are putting them all on main two for tomorrows Q329 pick up. Good day to have one unit out of Detroit. Departed west from Howell at 17:45 with CSX 4035+4046.
