Early mornings have been busy on the Holly south of Pontiac these last two days. Both yesterday and today four trains passed between 3 and 5 am. Two SB's and two NB's. I presume one NB was 371 (is that the number for the train out of Toledo?) and then an hour or so later its old SB counterpart 502 (which I think the number has changed). The other SB was maybe a 116 or a 280 I am guessing. And thrown into the mix both days was a NB lite geep which I presume was a 513 or 515 local out of Pontiac dispatched south to do some work on the Holly returning to Pontiac Yard.
Hi Manistique,

371 is now 251. Yeah, a lot of trains come by at night.

Sand train went SB past MP 22.5 at 6:30 am. Usual three locomotives and usual short train. First one in awhile.
This was my first sighting of the SAND TRAIN!! I was stopped by him in Linden, on Linden Road, on Tuesday January 14th at 5:40am on the way to work. I know this is a really late post, but wanted to mention it. He had 3 CN locomotives, all working, and 100 cars even. It was those short covered hopper type cars. I was glad to see it! Does anyone know this trains symbol? From what I gather, there seems to be a few of these a month.

Anyone know when the last Coke Train ran? Haven't heard one of those lately either.

Thanks.

Through New Haven at 20:33. CN 5709 & 2009 with 133 cars. It looked like the entire car consist was for Toronto with a lot of empty center beams, bulkheads, boxcars, and auto racks.

I think the Sand Train uses an old Holly Sub coal train number like 764 or something. It was posted a while back by someone.

I have not seen a Coke Train in a month or so.

That was 251 Mr. Don Simon Sir.

I didn't get a car count - it was time for dinner and I didn't want to be late! He went North through Linden around 5:20pm or so.
