Train #364 left Chicago 5 hours late. Yesterday it left 1'26" late and arrived Pt. Huron 4'25" late or 3:56 AM. Even turning the clocks back an hour won't help this train. Anyone know what's up with AMTK Chicago?

Train #350 left Chicago this morning 1'39" late. Something is going at Chicago with power, cars, crews? Yesterday #354 left 5 hours late. MDOT blames most of the usual tardiness on the host railroads. Not the case here.

Is there more track work going on between Dearborn and Ann Arbor? Every westbound train seems to lose 5-15 minutes on this stretch. Or freight interference? The only junction is as Wayne, and the whole point of the needed re-double-tracking in this stretch was the facilitate freight and passenger meets with no delay. So.....what gives?

For 355 The meet has been happening at CP 28 (CP Ypsi) more often then not as of late due to a late 352. As for the other trains I haven’t noticed anything weird.

355 by 30 west at 8:01 pm with the normal set plus 2 P42’s on the rear

Amtrak 49 (16) was significantly delayed leaving the NYC area last night and is now approaching Cleveland 4 + hours late. If anyone wants to see it in good daylight rolling west, today would be a good day!

EDIT: 49 departed Toledo 3 hrs 45 mins late right at 10am.

From late last month:

The daily Amtrak around Horseshoe Curve is a little more substantial now!

Amtrak 354 from Chicago to Pontiac arrived in Pontiac around 8:15 am this morning, about seven hours late. Website said "service disruption." Bad start to the busy holiday weekend for the Wolverines.

Amtrak 351 about an hour and 45 minutes late out of Pontiac this morning for some reason. Longer holiday train again, looked like 8 cars instead of the usual five.

All the Wolverines have had power on each end and, with the exception of 350/355, an extra two or three coaches this Christmas travel week. They have been running pretty close to on-time from I have noticed out back.
