That old Amtrak Superliner car is not a Super Liner. It was an old ex Santa Fe Railroad Hi Level passenger coach dorm 736, later Amtrak hi Level coach dorm car 39936.

That was 358 leading with 3127 trailing, returning power from last nights Q327 to Chicago. Today's Q32905 had CSX 5242+8836 and, for the 2nd day in row, 133 cars. By Howell at 09:08. 20 stone loads 7 cars back from the head end. Has Lansing work but cant be many to pick up as D708 didn't come east yesterday, and turned at Fowlerville on Thursday. Q32805 went east at 05:52 with CSX 5103+514 and 113 cars.

​E800-03 at Bangor mp CG60.7 @ 10:18am with CSX engine #878 (leading) + CSX #712 + BNSF engines #6177 + #8753 & 130 empty coal cars. Those CSX engines were the pusher engines that are usually kept in Grand Junction or Wells sidings.

N800-04 with BNSF #9794 leading reported from Benton Harbor mp CG87.5 @ 17:55 N800 is to tie his train down in Wells siding mp CG43.3
Q327 should have CSX engines #5242 + #8836 from today's Q329 along with 80 cars & diverted into Waverly/Holland mp CG23 at approx 18:12

Turns out the unit mineral train was K862-03, from Bensenville, Illinois to Webberville, Michigan. Due to depart Wyoming at 07:45 AM EDT tomorrow morning with the same consist I believe.

Edit: Does anyone know how often those bulk trains run to Webberville through Grand Rapids? I've known they exist but I've never seen one actually run.

Potash train from Sasketchawan. Probably about 6 times a year or so.

Yes, and it was an extreme rarity, if not a first in at least 30 years or longer. He had one unit, but it was four axle, GP40-2 6005 with 33 cars. Had Lansing work. Q328006 went east at 05:35 with CSX 358+3127 with 43 cars. Small train day.
