And at 9:48 pm returning 514 with 5459 and 5844 are working hard with their long NB container train passing MP 22.5. Next up should be 391. Amtrak 352 was on time tonight for the first time in awhile.
M391 entered the side track at South Edison for about an hour. Not sure what customers that train serves there. They still haven't gotten the signal to go north at Rodney as of 9:12 PM.

On ATCS, I'm seeing what looks like a local (or road switcher) train on the south end of the Shoreline Sub at Greenings. They may be using the siding there to run around their train and, if they do what I saw them do on a weekday evening a few months ago, will back down the lead toward the Monroe DTE plant to do work around the Port of Monroe. Any idea what train this is? I thought I heard a 903 symbol used a few months ago but am not certain.

Thanks, R903 it is. I've seen pictures people have taken in years past of the local going from Lang to Monroe, but it was usually much earlier in the day, and the train was identified as an R901. Maybe if the daytime Lang Yard crew heads north, it is an R901, but if the evening crew heads north, it is an R903?

Looks like M383 derailed in the Tunnel this morning, will update later today. 34 cars on the ground, DPU pushed derailed cars into roof of tunnel, some damage.

Looks like local is departing Pontiac Yard for Detroit . Didn’t see engine.
PatC created a monster, 'cause nobody wants to see Don Simon no more they want AARR I'm chopped liver, well if you want AARR this is what I'll give ya, bad humor mixed with irrelevant info that'll make you roll your eyes quicker than a ~Z~ banhammer...

What looked from a distance as 116 (containers) went SB past MP 22.2 at 8:25 am. Was walking and too far from the track to see it, only hear it blow for Opdyke Road crossing.

And the local that AARR reported leaving Pontiac at 9:19 am just went SB past MP 22.5 at 9:31 am with 5456 (again) running in reverse.

GT 4912 just went SB past MP 22.5 with one tank passing MP 22.5 at 1 pm. This must be a 513 and puts two locals on the south Holly at the same time today like the old days when 950 and 515 were doing so.

I wonder if there will be any reroutes through the Detroit River Tunnel by CN because of the derailment in the St. Clair River Tunnel today?

Train 371 with blue GETX 2039 between a CN and a UP is NB passing MP 22.5 at 1:15 pm at about 40 mph.

Looks like East bound trains will be detouring down the Holly off the Flint sub and using the Windsor tunnel, also not sure of
accurate info but some traffic maybe detouring to Toledo and then East. Will post more when it comes available.

Thanks for posting this. WWJ was reporting on the derailment this morning, but this little detail wasn't included anywhere else I've looked for information on the derailment. And now it makes a lot more sense why I've also been hearing that the tunnel could be closed for a couple of days...

Is there any chance that some CN trains could reroute via the NS Detroit District from Detroit to Butler then use the NS Chicago Line for the rest of the trip? (M397 and M399)

If they have to detour 148/9 for a few days I wonder if they'll change where 514 stages cars for them. Years ago I saw cuts of loaded wells being swapped at snow but that was way before I was fluent enough in operations to know why or by what train.
