365 by 205 at 0910. He was warned by desk 8 of a car on the tracks at Sand Rd in Bellevue m2. Just now 0915 he was told cars clear of the rail, proceed with 529A at that crossing.

Train 116 is SB passing MP 22.5 at 9:37 with some headend mixed freight and also some rear end mixed freight, a 5400 leading another CN and GP40-2 9473, who has been assigned to Pontiac recently, trailing. From the look of the headend stuff, it was picked up at Pontiac along with the GP40.

And as I type this, Train 515 is rolling alongside 116 on Main 2 also SB with a short train including some CN ballast cars. Missed the power but it might have been a 4600 GP9R today in black. Great railroading on the Holly Sub this morning.

Loaded CWR train NB through Mount Clemens at 15:42. CN/CN, welded rail and some manifest freight on the tail end. Could be a 382.

Heard two horn honks and a crossing sequence in the direction of Flat Rock yard, sounds like a Northbound about to come onto the Shoreline. Will update on the leading units after they pass. By the horn, it sounds like a GEVO leading, possibly an M384 this time of day.

*Edit at 1638* NB definitely coming onto the Shoreline, just now crossing Fort St. in Trenton, MI.

CN 2652, CN 5464, and IC SD40-3 6200 (CN Paint) NB through Rodney. Most-likely M384, could be M391. Don't have my scanner on me. Lots of autoracks.

Any idea about how often these CN coal trains come north? I'd like to see one someday.

Are the coal trains back?

This train went NB past MP 22.5 on the Holly around 8 pm. I thought it was 391.

But right now another NB is passing at 8:24 pm which I am pretty sure is 391 (usual engineer). So the earlier may have been a late 371 with all those racks. I wasn't around this afternoon to see if 371 went by earlier.

I have no idea, honestly. This is the first time I've seen one in a long while, but then again, I haven't been trackside much in the last decade, haha!

This morning a SB went past MP 22.5 at 5:30 am. Didn't get up to see it but it sounded like a doublestack (no banging of empty autoracks) instead of a rack train so I presumed it was a 116 or container extra.

At 7 am Amtrak 351 went SB, an hour late for some reason out of Pontiac.

At 7:15 am two lite CN locomotives went NB, I presume the power from that earlier freight that probably was a container train that had no mixed freight to take to Flat Rock.

Amtrak 350 passed MP 22.5 just about on time just now with 69 as the lead power and 34 trailing. There was new on the Amtrak thread about some different Amtrak locomotives running in Michigan lately instead of the usual pool of numbers and these two numbers seemed new to me though I don't really keep track and that both 353 and 350 today had power on each end. They must be rotating the extra locomotive assigned to Pontiac today as I didn't see one there at noon when I went by.

Right behind Amtrak 350 was a weekend 515 with IC SD40-2 6200 as power. This locomotive must have been dropped off at Pontiac yesterday from 371. Maybe to replace 9473 which went SB on a freight yesterday.

Train 371 NB passing MP 22.5 at 3:11 pm with CN 8946, 8966, two UP's and GT 4912 in blue.

116 by 205 at 2315. 3 units. Couldn't make out the first 2 but 3rd said CIT in big letters on the long hood. Short train. Probably not more than a dozen stacks on the head end followed by mixed freight. 116 was preceded by a manifest maybe 10 or 15m ahead of them. 2 units and a ton of loaded beam cars. Also what looked to be an empty 8 axle depressed flat.

Looks like CN may have had some on the ground in the Battle Creek yard, Hulcher crews were packing up to head home.
