Amtrak updates for June 2018

Amtrak #350 hit a trespasser east of Ann Arbor on June 11. 2018. Train has not made Dearborn as of 1841. Passengers for train #355 will be bused to Dearborn.
Amtrak #350, OS TOWNLINE in Dearborn @1856. Do not k ow about #352. What it is doing.

Anyone been monitoring the Michigan Line today?
I'm pretty certain I heard 2 trains go thru Dexter in the 12-1pm time frame, one just moments ago. Normally there is only one.

It will be the power for 355 at around 5:20 pm today using 350's trainset. CN local turns the power off of the EB trains overnight at the wye at the north end of Pontiac Yard (where Pontiac Belt Line originates by the old Administration Building) for the morning WB trains with one unit laying over during the day for 350/355. They store the turned or waiting-to-be-turned locomotives at the north end of the depot lead.

CN doesn't do this....an Amtrak crew is called each night to turn the power and do any necessary switching with the consists (like this morning--354 came in needing two cars switched around to be head out....evidently the yard crews in Chi-town are too busy to do this work when the train set is sitting there)

What was the engine number of Amtrak Train #351 that ran from Pontiac to Chicago this past Tuesday, June 26, 2018? The engine numbers are located on both side of the engine and on the nose just below the windshield window. "For example Amtrak train 351 engine 31".

If 353 and 350 are running on time they should both pass Dexter during that time. 353 is scheduled into ARB at 12:15pm, and 350 is scheduled at 12:46. They should pass by dexter around 12:25 and 12:40 respectively (depending on the day).

353 is almost three hours late, next stop being NBU. Anyone know what happened?

Amtrak Train 353 had brake problems.

A bit of a late report. 355 arrived at Jackson around 19:45 with P42DC #38 and 4 horizon coaches + 1 amfleet cafe.

350 just passed Dexter. Had 2 PV leading, a PRR square-end observation & and Northern Pacific dome car.

Amtrak #350, OS Dearborn, MI @1412. Has two private cars bebind locomotive. Cars going to Saginaw.
