I don't have anything to post, I just felt like this new folder needed to be created.

396 and 395 return to Cadillac at 1645 with 2 pole loads, 1 gondola, 1 pole load, 1 empty centerbeam, 2 plastics hoppers, 1 tank, 2 loaded centerbeams and 3 tanks.

Could not tell if gondola was a tie load or empty.

Seems the used ties generally come in MOW gondolas.

Last 2 gondolas were NS, not CSX (reviewed posted videos).

Horns in Cadillac at 1210. Had a friend tell me they were heard out towards Yuma around 0945 today.

Sounded like they left Selma Yard and headed out of town at 1215. 396 and 395 returned from the south at 1345. At first it sounded like they went northbound, but seeing them return from the south makes me think otherwise.

This was a weird day for the Northern Division, I guess. They went to Yuma, and then to McBain? Did they bring anything sizable from Yuma, or just a carload or two of engine sand?

Yuma sand pit is shut down- there are many sand cars stored at the sand pit tracks. So unless they got their shovels out and loaded sand into buckets.....

I understand that it's closed, but I have heard that there is still sand left over in that plant that the GLC uses that as engine sand...

There are acres of sand left at the mine, but there is nothing there operating to load any rail cars....

Maybe they hauled some cars over to Yuma for storage. There are some hoppers sitting on the main between Leeson Ave and M-115. Nothing was brought back into the yard.

I did see a post on here talking about how GLC has storage problems when they have heavy traffic. I bet you're right about them hauling cars to storage as that's all the Yuma line is used for anymore.
