Went up to Ithaca yesterday afternoon. Stored hoppers at the little yard south of town. New sandies on one track and the ex SOU three bays on the track nearer the highway. Rusty wheels so they've been there awhile.
Cranes and other construction materials at the new soy processor just north of the yard. Work looks to be ongoing there.
In Ithaca itself it appears the elevators get nothing and have not for some time. Nothing else there either.
Middleton had a mini grain train loaded awaiting removal eastward. Pompeii looks SAD to say the least...I'll leave it at that. Middleton and Perrinton look rather decent in contrast. Nice homes and well kept yards.

The 3-bays south of Ithaca are used for seasonal grain shuttle movements between Cadillac's MAC transload and their processing plant in Middleton.

As least one of the little elevators in Ithaca ships bagged beans in box cars infrequently. Michigan Specialty somethingorother operates the little southern elevator in town and loads from their shed. Heritage Bean operates (or used to) the little place to the north and they load from a ramp at the spurs lead.

Pixl - The Biewer Sawmill in McBain occasionally loads lumber on centerbeams. They've also been loading wood chips recently.

AANR - I see you video'd from inside your car. Is it a little cold in Cadillac?

A little chilly to say the least, the sun was deceiving today. And they kind of snuck up on me.

Out of Cadillac towards Clare at 0850. Sneaking past me again.

Back into town at 1055. Trip to McBain.

Heard them returning from the north at 1730.

Was just surprised by a light power move southbound through mount Pleasant at 10:15pm.

Same power that went north yesterday. I never heard them come south yesterday, or come north today, unless they completely snuck past me both times.

They were in TC yesterday....

395 and 398 leaving Cadillac for Clare at 0945 with 2 empty centerbeams for McBain, 3 wood chip hoppers, 2 empty centerbeams from TC, 3 feed covered hopper empties, 3 tanks and 2 covered hoppers (brownish ones that came in on Tuesday).

398 and 395 return to Cadillac at 1445 with 1 MOW flat with load, 1 tank, 2 feed hoppers, 1 loaded centerbeam, 2 wood chip hoppers and 8 tanks.

Return to Cadillac from Clare at 1445.
