I saw my "First Train" of 2016!!!! There was a southbound (383?) through Fraser at 2:17 p.m. It had CN ES44DC #2313, CN C40-8 #2038 and a CN ES44DC #22XX and 79 cars!!!!

That train was going south by 9 Mile a little before 11 am this morning.

L533 with CN 5700 was across M59 (Hall Road) at 4:27pm. I didn't get the car count, but it looked like all of the containers belonged to CN.

An eastbound with quite a loud horn is currently going through East Flint

M385 is starting to pull through the scanner in Sarnia, hopefully they'll be through the tunnel shortly afterward.

398 and another eastbound are Sarnia-bound, and are supposed to be short on time. They're expected in Sarnia within the hour.

What looks like L533(?) was the only train in the yard (Port Huron) a little while ago, as observed from the Michigan Road overpass.

385 has CN 2510, CN 2246, CN 8921. f/f/r. Items of note include horn volume on a westbound 5eain when the wind and snow are coming from the northwest, and freshly painted U of M, I mean DJTX 30841, painted solid blue with bright yellow ends.

398's sitting at East Flint (dead?). 348 should be into PH in about 40 minutes. Apparently 501 isn't running today.

385 marking up to go south. Track Authority 8051. Tappan to Nolan. Ok at 1433. Sounds like some tree work being done down by Haven.

348 is close, sounds like they're doing some work in the yard.

GTW 4909 came off the Mt. Clemens Sub at 1409, and looks to be doing some additional work in the yard.

CN westbound intermodal re-route with mid train DPUs departed Battle Creek about an hour ago

Today (1-11) I photographed two trains at the 8 Mile Crossing, Warren! There was a southbound CN at 3:47 p.m. It had CN SD75I #5667, and CN C44-9W #2565 with 52 cars!!!! There now seems to be a shorter afternoon freight on the Mt. Clemens Sub. (probably 385)! Also, a local train with GTW GP38-2 #4907 was working the factory off Hoover. What is that chemical factory? They switch with Tankers and Covered Hoppers! The train went south at 4:16 p.m. with 17 cars, including a few loaded "Lumbers!"

Industries with tankers and covered hoppers is Ashland Chemical and Polyterm, transload of chemicals.

I photographed "short" southbound train 385 at 3:50 p.m. through Fraser! It was led by "Class" CN ES44AC #2800 and "Brand New" CN ET44AC #3006!!!! It had 42 cars!!!!

Hello! Where "Exactly" can I go to photograph this Bessemer® engine working? I have not photographed their SD38s yet, but would love to!!!!
Is this loco based out of East Yard or Schaefer Yard? I am glad this nice engine is nearby!!!!
