CN Updates April 2015

CN #371 n.b. on the CN/GTW Holly Subdivision@ Caniff St. in Detroit, MI @ 1400. Leader looks like a new CN GE, trailer is a BNSF/ATSF unit still in warbonnett colours.

GTW GP38-2 #4616 in CN.ca livery brought a local north on the Shoreline Sub at Wyandotte, Oak Street at 1344 hours. It later went around the consist, running long-hood forward this time, south at Pennsylvania Road at 1439 hours.

A 766 was coming thru Royal Oak a little after 5:00 pm led by BNSF 6290.

371's symbol is back to 451. CN 8018, 2919 and BNSF 713.

116 departed from Pontiac about 3:30pm with CN 2173 and 2227.

451 met 766 at West Pontiac. BNSF 6290 and 5681.

280 was by Royal Oak at 8:30pm. CREX 1339 and BNSF 762.

Eastbound oil train through Schoolcraft at 1152. BNSF 9804 as the solo unit on the front with CN 2406, BCOL 4624 & BNSF 6382 on the rear as DPU's.

Another eastbound following close behind the oil train. General freight with CN 8910, 2295, 5406, NREX 2690 & NREX 2743. Both NREX units are former UP SD40M-2's still in faded SP paint.

A westbound intermodal train(q119?) came off of the holly sub in Durand, Mi, and continued west on the flint sub at about 6:25pm. It went through right after an eastbound passed the depot on the flint sub. Both trains have two cn engines leading.

"EASTER TRAIN!!!!" I saw northbound train 382 in Fraser at 11:47 a.m. It had CN SD75I #5653, CN SD75I #5648 and "COWL" SD60F #5555! It had 101 cars!

At about 13:15, there was an eastbound train working Torrey Yard in Flint. BCOL 4650 & 4652 for power.

A westbound intermodal(Q119?) came off the Holly Sub and proceeded west on the flint sub in Durand about twenty minutes ago. mostly empty wells with some loaded wells toward the front of the train. Two cn engines leading.

What I am guessing was 451 just came through Durand from the holly sub westbound. BC Rail, CN, two UP's, and a whopping four cars(three boxcars, one auto rack).

Eastbound on the flint sub currently stopped just east of Durand. Appears to be waiting for a westbound. Eb has three cn engines. Wait....... Yep westbound is now passing eastbound and approaching the depot.


EDIT. Westbound passing depot now with a cn and a bnsf engine. Appears to be 393, maybe.



EDIT. 5:35pm : eastbound now continuing east on flint sub.

Couple things-about five minutes ago, an eastbound came through with three cn engines. And literally right after the end cleared the diamonds, what appears to be 502 came around the curve and the Chicago wye. 502 is now waiting south of the depot for the hesr to leave the yard. 502 has two cn engines.
