CSX MI Train Location Update 1/20/10

N888 departed Wyoming Yard westbound a few minutes before midnight, past Ivanrest at 00:00 on the nose. CSXT 316 leading. Got the Roost and Power blocks as they were leaving the yard.
D700 had preceded them out of the yard. By Jenison at 23:42, Vriesland at 00:02. CSXT 2517 leading. 2517 must have a good radio on it as I heard them call, from the Wyoming Yard area, the signal at Waverly East a few minutes after Vriesland.
Y221 was just pulling back into Wyoming Yard at 00:05 with 8 gons of scrap.

GRE worked the line yesterday. A decent number of outbounds for both partners, more for GDLK than CSX. 371 is quite a ways south and looks like 1+2 again today.

They rolled into beautiful downtown Ada at 10:10 yesterday with 1 tank and 7 hoppers. Not sure if they stopped at Amway or kept on going, though.

Was wondering why Etzel needed the main at Hudsonville until 15:00 today... CP X500 will run through the siding, said they were around St Joseph at the time, and getting to Hudsonville around noon.
Heard Q334 also preparing to depart GR at 8:30, so they should be near Elmdale by now.

Q334 has CSX 47 in the lead, running solo. They met a G854, with CSX 7741 in the lead, at Trowbridge. From a garbled conversation with the RN, it sounded like 854 was going to work at Grand Ledge.

Q335 and Q327 are both in South Lyon when I came home for lunch, one was at the West End and one was just east of the East End holding on the main.

Q335-20 and Q327-20 both got delayed at South Lyon waiting for MofW to clear up ahead. The same two had a 10mph speed restriction over AnnPere diamond with more MofW there. Same two again had a four way meet at Fowlerville with Q334-20 and D708-20. 708 tucked themselves in behind 334. Q334 eastbound by Howell at 13:45 with the same 10mph restriction over AnnPere.

According to the RN, Q335 will be meeting both G780 and X500 at Lake Odessa.

GDLK303 was NB at 68th street just before 17:00. With the new speed limits it now appears it takes about 15 minutes to get to Hughart now instead of the 35 it use to be.
Sounds like 303 is coming back south now.
